Erdoğan and Şimşek meet with investors at the UN General Assembly

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with various leaders at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, which is considered one of the largest diplomatic events in the world. Within the framework of the 15th Turkey Investment Conference, he met with American and Turkish businesspeople to promote Turkey's investment potential.

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek also attended three separate investor meetings hosted by Citibank, one of the leading banks in the US. These meetings were attended by senior fund managers and economists from prominent US portfolio management companies.

In the meetings, which were held behind closed doors, Minister Şimşek shared the progress made in the economic program and his priorities for the coming period. Emphasizing Turkey's goals to increase direct investments, Şimşek explained the country's strategic advantages in detail.

Furthermore, Şimşek attended a roundtable meeting organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) Turkey-US Business Council (TAİK). This meeting was attended by leading business representatives from the US and Turkey, investors, and senior executives of international organizations.

It was learned that Minister Şimşek will continue his investor meetings in the US today, and there is great anticipation regarding the steps to be taken to improve Turkey's investment climate and strengthen international cooperation.
