Erdoğan speaks on the fund crisis: What will the roadmap be?

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements regarding the issue experienced in a certain segment of the fund market in September. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Şanlıurfa City Hospital, Erdoğan said that the relevant boards have convened and a roadmap has been determined to resolve the issue.

Emphasizing that the primary priority of the process is to ensure that the Turkish economy does not suffer harm, Erdoğan said, "Our first priority is that the Turkish economy does not come to harm. Whoever has obtained unfair gain must answer for it before the justice system."

Stating that the State Supervisory Council, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, and other relevant institutions have taken the necessary steps, Erdoğan said, "We are working to resolve the issue rapidly on the basis of justice and fairness, without allowing anyone to infringe upon the rights of others."

Calling on citizens to "keep their hearts at ease," Erdoğan said that the Turkish economy has the capacity to overcome the issue in question. Erdoğan assessed that "Turkish capital markets will continue on their path, growing much stronger."

Erdoğan further stated that those who attempt to harm Turkey's economic security in order to cover up their own interests and wrongdoings will not succeed, adding, "The ambitions of those who sabotage Turkey's economic security to cover up their own filth will be left unfulfilled."
