European stock markets open higher

European stock markets started the day with gains.

European stock markets open higher

Following the opening, the Stoxx Europe 600 benchmark index is trading at 480 points with a 0.3 percent gain, and the DAX 40 index in Germany is trading at 16,775 points with a 0.2 percent increase.

In the UK, the FTSE 100 index is at 7,741 points with a 0.2 percent gain, the MIB 30 index in Italy is at 30,496 points with a 0.2 percent rise, the IBEX 35 index in Spain is at 10,128 points with a 0.1 percent increase, and the CAC 40 index in France is at 7,585 points with a 0.2 percent gain.

The euro/dollar parity is currently trading at 1.1110, 0.1 percent above the previous close.

Analysts stated that expectations in global markets that the US Federal Reserve could begin interest rate cuts in March of next year continue to influence asset prices.

Stating that the holiday mood continues across Europe, analysts said that trading volume is also expected to remain low.

Analysts noted that wholesale inventories and weekly jobless claims in the US stand out on today's data agenda.
