The Stoxx Europe 600 benchmark index is trading at 477 points with a 0.1 percent decrease, and the DAX 40 index in Germany is at 16,850 points with a 0.2 percent loss.
In the UK, the FTSE 100 index is at 7,522 points with a 0.1 percent loss, the MIB 30 index in Italy is at 30,150 points with a 0.6 percent loss, the IBEX 35 index in Spain is at 9,901 points with a 0.7 percent decline, and the CAC 40 index in France is at 7,442 points with a 0.2 percent loss.
The euro/dollar parity is currently trading at 1.0880, 0.1 percent above the previous close.

Analysts stated that the possibility of major economies achieving a "soft landing" remains on the agenda in global equity markets, noting that the monetary policy decisions to be announced by the European Central Bank (ECB) today are the focus of investors.
While it is considered certain that the ECB will keep policy interest rates unchanged according to pricing in money markets, the guidance to be provided by ECB President Christine Lagarde is expected to increase volatility in asset prices.
