The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has released the economic confidence index data for the April 2025 period. While the index was at 85.9 in March, it fell to 83.9 in April, marking a 2.3 percent decline. These figures indicate that confidence in the economy is waning.

BELOW THE OPTIMISM THRESHOLD

The economic confidence index takes a value between 0 and 200. An index value above 100 indicates economic optimism, while a value below 100 indicates pessimism. According to the latest data, the index continues to remain well below the optimism threshold of 100 points.
