A new expectation for a price cut in diesel fuel has come to the agenda. According to industry sources, a decrease of 4 lira and 95 kuruş per liter of diesel is projected starting from midnight tonight.
A reduction of 2 lira and 22 kuruş had recently been applied to diesel. With the new expected cut, the downward trend in diesel prices in recent days is expected to continue.
Journalist Cemil Cahit Saraçoğlu also stated in a post on his social media account that following the cut that came on Friday night, a 4.95 TL reduction in diesel is expected on Monday at midnight, and that the said reduction will be directly reflected in pump prices.
Fuel prices are directly affected by fluctuations in Brent crude oil prices and movements in exchange rates. The course of oil prices in global markets continues to be reflected in gasoline, diesel, and LPG prices in Turkey.
As of Monday, October 5, 2026, posted prices in major cities vary by province and side. If the expected cut goes into effect, diesel prices are projected to be pulled down from these levels.
