Expropriation decision for two TPAO fields!
Following the publication of the expropriation decisions by the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in the Official Gazette, the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) submitted an application. MAPEG has accepted the application.
The General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has published its decisions regarding expropriation in today's issue of the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, having evaluated the application by the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), MAPEG has decided to expropriate lands in the Malkara and Saray districts of Tekirdağ, and the Ergani and Çınar districts of Diyarbakır. These lands are necessary for petroleum operations, are deemed to be in the public interest for expropriation, could not be acquired through mutual agreement due to demands for prices above market value, and are currently subject to an urgent seizure order.
