Fire panic in Sancaktepe! Extinguished by the intervention of teams
A fire that broke out at a 10,000-square-meter cold storage facility in Sancaktepe was brought under control after a 3-hour intervention by firefighting crews. The flames, which spread rapidly due to the wind, covered the sky in smoke.
A fire broke out for an as-yet-undetermined reason at a workplace used as a warehouse on Uzungöl Street in the Merve neighborhood. Upon notification, numerous firefighting crews were dispatched to the scene.

Following the report, fire departments from surrounding districts, UMKE teams, the Sultanbeyli Search and Rescue Team (SAKUT), officials from the Istanbul Anatolian Side Electricity Distribution Corp. (AYEDAŞ), as well as police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Police teams evacuated the factory adjacent to the burning warehouse as a precautionary measure. They also established a wide security perimeter in the surrounding area.

The flames were brought under control as a result of the fire department's intervention, which lasted approximately 3 hours.

While there were no deaths or injuries in the fire, the cold storage facility sustained significant material damage.

Police teams have launched an investigation into the fire.
