First a hike, then a cut for diesel
Fluctuations in oil markets have reflected on fuel prices; while diesel saw a price hike of 3.33 liras, a price cut of 4.04 liras is expected for Thursday.
The ongoing uncertainty in negotiations between the US and Iran continues to increase price volatility in global oil markets. This fluctuation has also reflected on fuel prices.
As of midnight, the price of a liter of diesel was increased by 3 liras and 33 kuruş. With this increase, the price of diesel rose to 75.61 liras in Istanbul, 76.73 liras in Ankara, and 77.01 liras in Izmir.
There was no change in gasoline prices. The price of a liter of gasoline, which is sold for 62.64 liras in Istanbul, remained at 63.59 liras in Ankara and 63.88 liras in Izmir.
EXPECTATION OF A PRICE CUT ON THURSDAY
On the other hand, a retreat in diesel prices is anticipated in the near future. It is stated that a price cut of 4 liras and 4 kuruş is expected for diesel, effective from midnight on Thursday.
