In the Mut district of Mersin, a harvest of 24 thousand 180 tons is expected this year from an area of 15 thousand 200 decares, both in open fields and under cover.
The fact that the plums produced under cover are early-season varieties also delights producers with their prices.
It was stated that in the district where the first harvest of the year took place, the plums to be sent to Russia and Dubai found buyers at 150 dollars per kilogram.
It was noted that harvests are expected to intensify in many greenhouses within a week.
