Foreign trade deficit reached 5.9 billion dollars in November

In November 2023, compared to the same month of the previous year, exports increased by 5.2 percent to 23 billion 11 million dollars, while imports decreased by 5.6 percent to 28 billion 931 million dollars. 

In the January-November 2023 period, exports increased by 0.7 percent to 232 billion 915 million dollars, and imports increased by 0.5 percent to 332 billion 752 million dollars. 

In November, the foreign trade deficit decreased by 32.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, falling to 5 billion 919 million dollars.

In the January-November period, the foreign trade deficit remained unchanged on an annual basis at 99 billion 836 million dollars. 

The foreign trade deficit for the last 12 months reached 109 billion 550 million dollars, an increase of 2.7 percent.

In November 2023, compared to the same month of the previous year, the export-to-import coverage ratio increased by 8.2 points to 79.5 percent.

Excluding energy data, the export-to-import coverage ratio increased by 0.7 points to 90.7 percent.

Excluding energy and gold data, the export-to-import coverage ratio decreased by 5.5 points to 95.2 percent.
