The Capital Markets Board (CMB) has taken a new decision regarding the liquidation period to be applied to funds for which a liquidation decision has been made. The Board has decided to implement a 6-month period instead of the previously determined 3 months.
According to the decision published in the CMB bulletin, the change was made by the Board's decision-making body on September 20, 2026, numbered 59/1710. The decision stated that the period mentioned in the relevant article of the fund liquidation procedures and principles, which was announced in the 2026/61 CMB Bulletin in accordance with the Board decision dated September 17, 2026, and numbered 57/1708, has been amended.
The statement noted that the portfolio structures of the funds subject to liquidation and market developments were taken into account in extending the liquidation period. Thus, the period foreseen for the liquidation processes of the funds has been increased from 3 months to 6 months.
