16 districts in Istanbul where you can rent a home with minimum wage announced!

The minimum wage that will be valid for 2025 has been announced as 22,104 TL with a 30 percent increase.

The amount published in the Official Gazette remained far from meeting needs.

In Istanbul, the minimum wage is struggling even to pay the rent for an average home, let alone cover living costs.

The districts in the city where the minimum wage can afford a rental home have been identified.

According to the report published by the Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA), the monthly budget required for a family of four to meet their basic needs in Istanbul rose to the level of 75,717 TL in November.

According to the data shared with the public by Doğruluk Payı, as reported by TGRT Haber, rental prices in the city have shown a striking increase.

In 22 of Istanbul's 38 districts, excluding the Adalar, it has become impossible to rent a standard home with the minimum wage of 22,104 TL.

While some districts on the European side remain 'green' in the table, it was observed that the only district on the Anatolian side where a home can be rented with the minimum wage is Sultanbeyli.
