2025 civil servant salary increase finalized! New salaries by profession

The civil servant salary calculation table has begun to take shape with the announced inflation data.

In line with the latest data published by TURKSTAT, a 10.4 percent rate has been finalized for the salary increase that will apply to civil servants and retired civil servants.

The new salaries will bring changes to many items, primarily social benefits, along with inflation adjustments and collective bargaining increases.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) will announce the December inflation rates on Friday, January 3, 2025, as it does every month. This data will directly affect the increase rates for civil servant salaries and pensions.

CENTRAL BANK INFLATION EXPECTATIONS

According to the Survey of Market Participants published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), the year-end expectation for the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase has risen to 45.28%. This rate serves as an important reference for inflation-based salary adjustments.

CIVIL SERVANT SALARY CALCULATIONS ARE BECOMING CLEAR

With the announcement of the November inflation rates, annual inflation fell to 47.09%. With this development, the 5-month inflation adjustment and collective bargaining increase rates for civil servant and retiree salaries have become clear.

Finalized increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees: 14.57%

5-month cumulative increase rate for civil servants and retired civil servants: 10.41%

The final increase rate will be confirmed with the announcement of the December inflation data.

INCREASES FOR SOCIAL BENEFITS ARE ON THE WAY

The increase to be applied to civil servant salaries will also affect many social benefit payments.

Home care allowance,

Age 65 pension,

Disability pensions,

will be rearranged in direct proportion to the civil servant salary increase. Additionally, the severance pay ceiling amount will also be clarified with these regulations.

LOWEST CIVIL SERVANT SALARY AND INFLATION ADJUSTMENT

The lowest civil servant salary determined in July 2024 is applied as 39,177 TL. The lowest retired civil servant salary is at the level of 17,588 TL.

5-month total inflation adjustment: 14.57%

Resulting inflation difference: 4.16%

7th Term Collective Bargaining Increase: 6%

Cumulative 5-month increase rate: 10.41%

SALARIES AFTER THE JANUARY 2025 INCREASE

In January 2025, if the lowest civil servant salary receives a 12% increase, this salary is expected to rise to 43,878 TL.

The lowest retired civil servant salary will be 19,697 TL.

Final increase rates and new salary amounts will be confirmed with the December inflation rates.

According to the July 2024 salary period and the 5-month 10.40% increase, the new salaries will be as follows:

Undersecretary salary, which was 63,947.22 TL in July 2024, will be 70,597.73 TL with a 10.40% increase.

General Manager salary, which was 56,597.38 TL in July 2024, will be 62,483.51 TL with a 10.40% increase.

Branch Manager salary (bachelor's degree), which was 26,372.20 TL in July 2024, will be 29,114.91 TL with a 10.40% increase.

Civil Servant salary (bachelor's degree), which was 21,479.71 TL in July 2024, will be 23,713.60 TL with a 10.40% increase.

Teacher salary, which was 26,372.20 TL in July 2024, will be 29,114.91 TL with a 10.40% increase.

District Governor salary, which was 37,165.47 TL in July 2024, will be 41,030.68 TL with a 10.40% increase.

Chief Superintendent salary, which was 27,046.63 TL in July 2024, will be 29,859.48 TL with a 10.40% increase.

Police Officer salary, which was 26,594.78 TL in July 2024, will be 29,360.64 TL with a 10.40% increase.

Nurse salary (bachelor's degree), which was 26,372.20 TL in July 2024, will be 29,114.91 TL with a 10.40% increase.
