Banking giants are revising their gold price forecasts.
Goldman Sachs has estimated that gold prices will reach 3,150 dollars per ounce by December 2025.
Goldman's forecast implies an increase of approximately 19 percent from current levels.
The price of an ounce of gold hit an all-time high of 2,790 dollars on October 31.
According to Goldman Sachs, a large portion of this price increase will stem from high demand from global central banks, alongside concerns regarding U.S. fiscal sustainability and trade tensions/wars.
"We are maintaining our 3,000 dollar forecast for December 2025," stated Goldman Sachs analysts, adding, "The structural driver of our rising gold forecast is higher demand from central banks."
Investment bank JPMorgan had also previously revised its gold price forecast, predicting that the price of an ounce of gold would rise to 3,000 dollars in 2025.
