2025 minimum wage set at 22,104 TL! When will the increased salaries be paid?

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission has set the 2025 minimum wage following intensive negotiations in December.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced the new net minimum wage as 22,104 TL.

The gross wage was announced as 26,005 TL and 50 kuruş. The new minimum wage increase will be effective as of January 1, 2025.

On the other hand, the labor representative TÜRK-İŞ did not attend the fourth commission meeting.

TÜRK-İŞ cited the failure of the employer side to report their minimum wage proposal as the reason for not attending the meeting.

HOW MUCH IS THE 2025 MINIMUM WAGE? HERE ARE THE DETAILS OF THE MINIMUM WAGE

The minimum wage for 2025 has been set at a net of 22,104 lira. A 30 percent increase was applied to the minimum wage.

When the SGK employer premium and employer unemployment insurance premium added to the employer over the gross wage are included, the total cost of one employee to the employer reaches 30,556 lira and 46 kuruş.

The details of the newly announced minimum wage are as follows:

Net wage: 22,104 lira and 67 kuruş

Gross wage: 26,005 lira and 50 kuruş

With the new minimum wage figure, the minimum wage support provided by the state to employers for each minimum wage earner has also been increased from 700 lira to 1,000 lira.

WHEN WILL THE INCREASED MINIMUM WAGE BE RECEIVED?

The increased minimum wage will come into effect as of January 1, 2025.

Workers who receive their salary for the month they work at the beginning of the month will receive their increased wages at the beginning of January.

Those who receive their salary at the end of the month will see their first increased salary in February.

For those who do not receive their January salary with the increase, the differences will be paid in February.
