NOVEMBER INFLATION RATE ANNOUNCED!

Civil servants and retirees, who receive salary increases in January and July, will receive raises based on 6-month inflation rates.

The 5th data point for the 6-month period has been announced by TURKSTAT:

According to Turkish Statistical Institute data, inflation was 2.24 percent on a monthly basis in November, while it declined to 47.09 percent on an annual basis.

WHAT WAS THE 5-MONTH CIVIL SERVANT RAISE PERCENTAGE?

Following the announced inflation data, the 5-month retiree raise emerged as 14.57 percent.

For civil servants and retired civil servants, the rate is 10.40 percent.

RETIREE AND CIVIL SERVANT RAISES ACCORDING TO INFLATION EXPECTATIONS

Year-end inflation expectations from the government, the market, and AA economists regarding the inflation data, which is important for the salary raises of civil servants and retired civil servants, have been announced.

While the government revised its inflation forecasts upward, the inflation expectations of market participants declined. Those of AA economists also rose.

Civil servants receive raises twice a year, every 6 months. When calculating the civil servant raise, the collective bargaining agreement raise is added in addition to the inflation difference.
