2025 salary increases for public employees and retirees announced: Here are the salaries according to the new raises

After the minimum wage is determined, the most important item on the agenda for the new year will be the salary raises for civil servants and retirees.

FIGURES BECAME CLEAR AFTER INFLATION

With the 6-month inflation adjustment, it has become clear how much teachers, police officers, nurses, and engineers will earn.

One final piece of data is awaited for the salary raise of civil servants and retired civil servants. With the announcement of the December inflation rate, the 6-month inflation adjustment will be clarified, and the raise rate to be applied in January 2025 will be finalized.

ADDITIONAL RAISE TO BE APPLIED TO SALARIES WILL BE DETERMINED

According to the report by Sözcü, as per the collective bargaining agreement made in July, the increase for civil servants was set at 10%, and this rate will be 6% in January.

However, with the December inflation rate, the additional raise to be applied to salaries will also be determined.

According to the Central Bank's December Market Participants Survey, the inflation rate is expected to be 1.72%.

HOW WILL THE NEW SALARY INCREASES BE?

According to this forecast, the new salary increases are projected to be as follows:

6-month inflation: 16.54%

SSK, Bağ-Kur retiree raise: 16.54%

Civil servant inflation adjustment: 5.95%

Civil servant collective bargaining raise: 6%

Civil servant raise: 12.31%

HOW MUCH WILL THE LOWEST CIVIL SERVANT SALARY BE?

According to expectations, with the 6-month inflation adjustment, the lowest civil servant salary will exceed 34,000 TL. The base salary for retired civil servants will approach 20,000 TL.

Lowest civil servant salary: 39,205 TL - 43,283 TL - 44,031 TL
