2025 vehicle inspection fees announced: How much will be paid in the new year?

The Revaluation Rate (YDO), which determines the hikes for items such as taxes, fees, and penalty amounts in 2025, has been announced. The revaluation rate, which will also determine vehicle inspection fees, has been set at 43.93 percent for 2024. So, how much will vehicle inspection fees be?

According to the news on Halk TV, with the rate published in the Official Gazette, the increased fee schedule that TÜVTÜRK will apply to vehicle inspections in 2025 has also been determined.

Inspection fees for tractors, motorcycles, and motor bicycles will increase from 927.60 TL to 1,335 TL.

The fee for automobiles, minibuses, pickup trucks, off-road vehicles, special-purpose vehicles, and trailers will rise from 1,821.60 TL to 2,621 TL.

The inspection fee for buses, trucks, and tractor units will be 3,544 TL, up from 2,462.40 TL.

On the other hand, Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) and traffic fines will also increase at this rate as of January 1.

There was also a reaction to these fees from a CHP deputy. CHP Çorum Deputy and member of the State Economic Enterprises (KİT) Commission, Mehmet Tahtasız, criticized vehicle inspection fees in his speech at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

Pointing out that payments are taken for vehicle inspections just for checks without any actual processing, Mehmet Tahtasız said, “There is no oil change, no vehicle maintenance, only billions flowing into the coffers of a private company. It is not fair to charge this much for just fault detection without maintenance and repair. Do not increase the 2025 vehicle inspection fees, and extend the inspection period for commercial vehicles to two years. Take your hands out of the citizens' pockets.”

CHP Çorum Deputy Mehmet Tahtasız used the following expressions:

“In 2025, all taxes, fees, and penalties will increase at this rate, and vehicle inspection fees, which citizens have reacted strongly to, will also be increased at the same rate. Inspection fees for tractors, motorcycles, and motor bicycles will increase from 920 TL to 1,335 TL.

The fee for automobiles, minibuses, pickup trucks, off-road vehicles, special-purpose vehicles, and trailers will rise from 1,821 TL to 2,621 TL. The inspection fee for buses, trucks, and tractor units will have increased from 2,462.40 TL to 3,544 TL.”
