30 percent raise for minimum wage! How much will the lowest pension be?
The 2025 minimum wage has been announced by Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan and set at 22,104 TL. Following the 30 percent raise in the minimum wage, all eyes have turned to pension salaries. Social Security Expert Özgür Erdursun announced that pensions will receive a 25 percent raise and that the lowest pension will rise to 15,000 TL.
The minimum wage was determined at the fourth meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission held yesterday.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the net minimum wage for 2025 is 22,104 lira.
Following the minimum wage, all eyes have now turned to the raise that will be applied to pension salaries.
One of the names who made a prediction regarding the minimum wage was Social Security expert Özgür Erdursun.
HOW MUCH WILL 2025 PENSIONS BE?
Erdursun, who correctly predicted the raise to be applied to the minimum wage, made statements regarding the lowest pension on his social media account.
Stating that a 25 percent raise would be applied to pensions, Erdursun used the following expressions in his post:
'I have been stating for months that the minimum wage would be in the 22-23 thousand band.
The minimum wage has become 22,104 lira! Best of luck.
A 17 percent inflation difference will emerge for retirees.
It will be completed to 25 percent with a welfare share. The lowest pension will also be 15,000 lira.'
