35 percent hike in public transport fares in Istanbul! What are the new tariffs?

Following the IMM public transport fare hike implemented by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, changes have been made to metrobus, metro, and bus prices. The full ticket price has been determined following the hike.

HOW MUCH OF A HIKE HAS BEEN APPLIED TO IMM PUBLIC TRANSPORT?

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality requested a 35 percent hike. Thus, a 35 percent increase will be applied.

HOW MUCH ARE IMM METROBUS AND BUS FULL TICKETS AS OF THE LATEST 2025 UPDATE?

Current prices are as follows:

Full ticket: 20 TL

Student: 9.76 TL

Teacher and 60+ age: 14.32 TL

Student monthly pass: 282.5 TL

Full monthly pass: 1569 TL

Metrobus - Full: 29.68 TL

Metrobus - Teacher and 60+ age: 16.28 TL

Metrobus - Student: 9.76 TL

HOW MUCH ARE THE NEW FARES?

With the hike, transport fares in Istanbul will be updated as follows:

Full ticket: 27 TL

Student: 13.17 TL

Teacher and 60+ age: 19.33 TL

Student monthly pass: 381.37 TL

Full monthly pass: 2,118 TL

Metrobus full ticket: 40.068 TL

Marmaray full ticket: 59.76 TL

Metrobus teacher and 60+ age: 21.97 TL

Metrobus student: 13.17 TL

For school buses, the 0-1 kilometer fee has become 2605 TL

TAXI AND MINIBUS FARES ALSO INCREASED

The proposal accepted at UKOME also included changes to taxi and minibus fares.

The taximeter opening fee was increased from 30 TL to 42 TL with a 40 percent hike, while a 40 percent hike was also applied to the distance tariff. The short-distance fee for taxis was increased from 100 TL to 135 TL with a 35 percent increase.

The short-distance fare for minibuses has increased from 18 TL to 25 TL with the hike.
