4,000 lira holiday bonus for retirees! When will the remaining 1,000 TL difference be paid? Two scenarios are on the table

The 3,000 lira portion of the 4,000 lira holiday bonus awaited by millions of retirees has been deposited into their accounts.

Accordingly, those whose retirement pension payment dates are the 17th, 18th, and 19th of the month received their payments on the 24th; those whose pension payment dates are the 20th, 21st, and 22nd received their payments on March 25th.

Retirees who receive payments as of the 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th of the month received their payments on March 26th. Bağ-Kur members received their payments on March 27th, and those covered under the Emekli Sandığı (Retirement Fund) received theirs on March 28th.

THE PROPOSAL PASSED PARLIAMENT

The legislative proposal regarding the increase of holiday bonuses to 4,000 lira was accepted in the General Assembly of Parliament and entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

WHEN WILL THE REMAINING 1,000 LIRA BE PAID?

Following the extension of the Ramadan Feast holiday to 9 days, public sector working hours will resume on April 7th.

Accordingly, the payment schedule is expected to be announced on April 7th, and the payments are expected to be deposited within the week covering April 8-11.

Additionally, although it is a low probability, there is also a scenario being considered where the holiday bonus payments could be paid with the next retirement pension.
