Date set for payment of holiday bonuses to retirees

As part of the holiday bonus, all retirees and eligible beneficiaries will receive a payment of 4 thousand TL before the 2025 Eid al-Adha. A total of 47.4 billion TL in bonuses will be paid out. According to Hürriyet columnist Noyan Doğan, the payments will be transferred to accounts between June 2 and June 5.

WHO WILL RECEIVE THE HOLIDAY BONUS?

Only those receiving income or a pension from the Social Security Institution (SGK) will be able to benefit from the bonus. Accordingly;

Retirement pension,

Old-age pension,

Disability or duty-related disability pension,

Permanent incapacity income,

Relatives of martyrs, veterans, combat veterans, security guards,

Civilians harmed by terrorism and their eligible beneficiaries,

will benefit from the holiday bonus.

PAYMENTS WILL VARY ACCORDING TO SHARE

For those receiving survivor's or orphan's pensions, the payment will be made in proportion to their shares:

Those receiving a survivor's pension with a 50 percent share: 2 thousand TL,

Those receiving a 75 percent share: 3 thousand TL,

Those receiving an orphan's pension with a 25 percent share: 1,000 TL will be received.

Individuals receiving both a survivor's and an orphan's pension will only receive a bonus based on the survivor's pension.

The holiday bonus, which was 3 thousand TL in 2024, has been increased by 33 percent as of 2025 to 4 thousand TL. Thus, a total of 8 thousand TL will have been paid to retirees throughout the year.

Those who recently submitted their application will also benefit

Those who submitted their retirement application after May 1 will also be able to benefit from this year's Eid al-Adha bonus.

Additionally, those receiving more than one pension will be given only a single bonus based on the file with the highest payment.

HOW MUCH WILL PARTIAL RETIREES RECEIVE?

Those receiving permanent incapacity income due to a work accident or occupational disease will receive a bonus according to the degree of this income.

Partial pension holders will also have the right to receive the bonus.

WHEN WILL IT BE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS?

Holiday bonuses will be deposited into retirees' bank accounts between Monday, June 2, and Thursday, June 5, before Eid al-Adha.
