Expectations for hikes in paid military service and civil servant salaries! How much will they be?
Significant increases are expected in civil servant, retiree, and paid military service fees during the July 2025 salary adjustment period. The inflation rate for the first three months was recorded at 10.06%. All eyes are now on the June data to be announced on July 3.
A new salary period begins in July 2025 for millions of civil servants, retirees, and citizens receiving social support. In line with the inflation data to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Central Bank's April expectations survey, raise rates have begun to take shape. Significant increases are projected for both salaries and certain items (such as paid military service).
ALL EYES ARE ON JULY 3
July 3, 2025, will be the date when the salary raises for civil servants and retirees, which will be determined based on the inflation difference and collective bargaining agreement increases, become clear. TÜİK will announce the June inflation data at 10:00 AM. With this data, the raise rates for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, as well as civil servants and civil servant retirees, will be finalized.
FIRST 3-MONTH INFLATION WAS 10.06 PERCENT
According to the data announced by TÜİK;
January: 5.03%
February: 2.27%
March: 2.46%
The total inflation rate for the first three months was 10.06%. This rate will be directly reflected in salary increases for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees.
6-MONTH INFLATION EXPECTATION IS 17.91 PERCENT
According to the Central Bank's April market participants survey;
April: 3.07%
May: 2.20%
June: 1.70%
In line with these estimates, the 6-month inflation is expected to reach the 17.91% level. This rate means a direct raise for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees.
16 PERCENT RAISE FORECAST FOR CIVIL SERVANTS
The raise rate for civil servants and civil servant retirees depends not only on the inflation difference but also on the 5% increase stemming from the collective bargaining agreement. According to the expected outlook:
Inflation difference: 11.79%
Collective bargaining raise: 5%
TOTAL RAISE RATE IS 16.79 PERCENT
In line with these rates, salaries will change from scratch.
LOWEST RETIREE SALARY WILL EXCEED 17 THOUSAND TL
The lowest civil servant retiree salary, which was 14,469 TL in January 2025, is expected to exceed 17,060 TL with a 17.91% raise. However, the final figure will be clarified based on parliamentary regulations and budget possibilities.
PAID MILITARY SERVICE FEE RISING TO 283 THOUSAND TL
The paid military service fee, which was 243,013 TL in January 2025, will rise to approximately 283,814 TL in July, depending on the civil servant salary coefficient. The increases will be updated in parallel with inflation and the salary coefficient.
