Investors have been closely monitoring the activity in time deposit interest rates applied by banks since the beginning of the year.
Following the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's (TCMB) decision to reduce the policy interest rate to 38 percent with a total of 950 basis points of cuts in 2025, current rates have taken shape in the financial sector.
A downward trend is being observed in deposit interest rates, which were hovering in the 40-45 percent range at the beginning of the year, as the impact of the interest rate cut decision continues. 1 year and over: 39.01%
While deposit interest rates, which reached 50 percent levels in some private banks in December, fell to 46 percent with the new year, this rate has even dropped to 33 percent in some banks.
In general, for a 100,000 TL deposit, an investor receives approximately 2,893.15 TL in additional returns at the end of 32 days with an average interest rate of 40 percent.
