The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of representatives from workers, employers, and the government, will hold its first meeting to determine the minimum wage that will be valid for 2025. So, when will the minimum wage increase be announced? How much will the minimum wage be with the January 2025 raise?

WHEN WILL THE MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE BE ANNOUNCED?

The minimum wage that will be valid in the new year will be determined by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which consists of representatives from workers, employers, and the government.

The commission's first meeting will be held on December 10, hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

The Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions (Türk-İş) will represent the workers' side, while the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK) will represent the employers' side. The commission will consist of representatives from workers, employers, and the government, with 5 members from each group. After a total of four meetings to be held throughout December, the minimum wage that will be valid for 2025 will be determined.

Following three meetings to be organized by this commission, which includes representatives from the government, workers, and employers, the minimum wage increase for 2025 will be announced to the public.

2025 MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE ESTIMATES

While different scenarios regarding the minimum wage increase continue to be discussed, the rates at which the wage bargaining will begin are also becoming clear. In line with public expectations, it is anticipated that the negotiations will begin with a demand for an increase of at least 25% to 35%.

According to possible scenarios regarding the minimum wage, salaries could take the following shape:

In the event of a 20 percent raise, the minimum wage will be 20 thousand 402 liras.

In the event of a 25 percent raise, the minimum wage will be 21 thousand 252 liras.

In the event of a 30 percent raise, the minimum wage will be 22 thousand 102 liras.

In the event of a 35 percent raise, the minimum wage will be 22 thousand 502 liras.

In the event of a 40 percent raise, the minimum wage will be 23 thousand 802 liras
