Ahead of the 2025 Ramadan Feast, retirees have begun to wonder when their holiday bonuses will be deposited into their accounts. Following President Erdoğan's announcement of a 50 percent increase, which set the bonus at 3,000 Turkish Lira, questions are now being raised about the amount for 2025 and when it will be paid.
The increase for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees was 15.75 percent, and the lowest pension became 14,469 Turkish Lira.
After learning the rate of the increase in their pensions, retirees began to wonder about the holiday bonus that will be paid during the Ramadan Feast.
HOW MUCH WAS THE HOLIDAY BONUS IN 2025?
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had announced that the retiree holiday bonus was increased by 50 percent and set at 3,000 Turkish Lira.
However, it is not yet known how much of a holiday bonus retirees will receive in 2025.
Social Security Institution (SGK) experts estimate that the retiree holiday bonus for 2025 will be 3,500 Turkish Lira, reflecting an increase of 500 Turkish Lira.
WHEN WILL RETIREES RECEIVE THEIR HOLIDAY BONUSES?
Retirees who are curious about when the holiday bonuses will be deposited have begun their research.
While no exact date has been given, in 2024, retirees received their bonuses in the week before the Ramadan Feast.
It is estimated that retirees may receive their holiday bonuses during the same period in 2025.
