List of tax evaders released: 3 of them appeared in the same table!

Following the communiqué published in the Official Gazette in September, the Revenue Administration (GİB) under the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has begun sharing with the public the taxpayers with high-amount tax debts on a provincial basis.

As the final days of 2025 approach, the "Tax Deadbeats" list, prepared as a result of inspections conducted across Turkey, includes companies with finalized tax debts exceeding 50 million TL that remain unpaid despite being past due.

The lists, which also include well-known individuals and organizations, were published by provincial defterdar offices.

According to the report in the Sabah newspaper, Can Holding ranked first among the companies with finalized tax debts and penalties.

According to data from the Istanbul Defterdar Office, TURKTAB Tütün Mamulleri A.Ş., which operates under Can Holding, has a tax debt of approximately 4 billion TL.

TURKTAB Toptan Tütün company also ranked high on the list with a tax debt of 1 billion 344 million TL.

COMPANIES TRANSFERRED TO THE SDIF ARE ALSO ON THE LIST

Other companies affiliated with Can Holding, which were seized as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "managing an organization," "being a member of an organization," "laundering assets derived from crime," and "qualified fraud," were also included in the list.

It was noted that Arı Bilim İnovasyon Eğitim Hizmetleri A.Ş., to which Doğa College—managed by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF)—is affiliated, also has a tax debt of 625.4 million TL.

The list also includes individuals and companies belonging to the Uzan family. In addition to Cem Uzan and Kemal Uzan, branches affiliated with İmar Bankası were also included in the list due to their tax debts.

According to official records, it was stated that Cem Uzan has a tax debt exceeding 1 billion TL.

It was observed that the tax deadbeats list also included FETÖ members who fled after the July 15 coup attempt and their affiliated companies. Ekrem Dumanlı, Hamit Bilici, Mehmet Akif Afşar, one of the owners of Feza Gazetecilik, and Hamit Çiçek, one of the partners of Kaynak Holding, were among the names listed.

Companies belonging to Mehmet Aydın, known for the Çiftlik Bank fraud and widely recognized by the nickname "Tosuncuk," were also included in the list due to their tax debts. It was announced that the company Fame Game, to which a trustee was appointed, has a tax debt of 750 million TL, while Çiftlik Bilgi İşlem has a tax debt of 626 million TL.

It was reported that in the published lists, many municipalities and municipal subsidiary companies, primarily in Istanbul's Beşiktaş, Esenyurt, Şişli, Başakşehir, and Sarıyer districts, were also included due to their tax debts.
