Minimum wage and pension forecast from Özgür Erdursun that will upset citizens: 'There won't be 49s or 50s from now on...'

As we head toward 2025, all eyes are on what the minimum wage, as well as retiree and civil servant salaries, will be in the new year.

Social Security Expert Özgür Erdursun announced his predictions regarding the matter during a live broadcast he attended.

Speaking to Habertürk, Özgür Erdursun announced 3 different figures for the new retiree, civil servant, and minimum wage adjustments, based on expected inflation data, his own analysis, and artificial intelligence.

Drawing attention to the IMF's recommendation for Turkey to 'increase the minimum wage by 14 percent,' Erdursun stated the following:

“The IMF says, 'Implement an increase below the targeted inflation rate, and let prices rise accordingly. You will then reach your inflation target. If you implement a higher rate of increase, you will not be able to reach the inflation target,'” it says...

Credit rating agencies that determine Turkey's rating are also saying, 'Increase at most by the targeted inflation rate'...

HOW MUCH WILL THE MINIMUM WAGE BE?

In other words, if a 14 percent increase is implemented according to the IMF's proposal, the minimum wage, which is 17 thousand TL, would become 19 thousand 383 TL. If it is based on the targeted inflation rate, it would be 20 thousand TL.

In my opinion, I believe the minimum wage will be between 20,000 TL and 21,250 TL.

MINIMUM WAGE PREDICTION FROM ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

I also asked artificial intelligence about this. Artificial intelligence says it will be between 24 thousand and 25 thousand TL.

I think artificial intelligence will be wrong. I predict that the minimum wage will be in the band of 20 thousand TL to 21 thousand 250 TL.

"THE LOWEST PENSION WILL BE 15 THOUSAND TL"

The lowest pension is 12 thousand 500 TL. We see that this will also become 15 thousand TL with a 20 percent increase.

"FROM NOW ON, THERE WILL BE NO 49 OR 50 PERCENT"

When we spoke with you last year about how much pension salaries would be, you and your guests were surprised when I said there would be a 49 percent increase, but that is exactly what happened.

From now on, there won't be 49 or 50 percent increases. I think there will be increases of around 20 percent at most from now on.

"10 PERCENT FOR CIVIL SERVANTS AND RETIREES"

Let me state in advance that there will be a 10 percent increase in the salaries of civil servants. A 10 percent increase will be applied to civil servants and civil servant retirees, while an increase between 13.5 and 15 percent will be applied to SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees.

The lowest pension will be increased by 20 percent to reach 15 thousand TL.
