International business magazine Forbes has shared the updated version of its billionaire list.

Yıldız Holding Board Member Murat Ülker, who had stood out as Turkey's wealthiest businessperson since 2023, has fallen to second place in the new list.

The person who surpassed Ülker is Hamdi Ulukaya, the founder of the Chobani brand, who recently made headlines for becoming a sponsor of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club.

ULUKAYA'S WEALTH REACHED 13.7 BILLION DOLLARS

Starting out with a fortune of approximately 2.5 billion dollars, Ulukaya rapidly expanded his market share thanks to the strong relationships he developed with the US administration and the production facilities he opened in different states.

With the inclusion of company shares and other investments, Hamdi Ulukaya's total assets have risen to 13.7 billion dollars.

ŞABAN Cemil Kazancı TOOK THIRD PLACE

Murat Ülker placed second on the list with a fortune of 5.4 billion dollars, while Şaban Cemil Kazancı took third place with assets of 4.7 billion dollars.

WHO IS HAMDİ ULUKAYA?

Born in 1972 in the İliç district of Erzincan, Hamdi Ulukaya is the child of a family involved in dairy farming and grew up with a nomadic lifestyle.

His childhood, spent in the highlands with his family of Elazığ origin, laid the groundwork for his early introduction to production and nature.

Ulukaya began his university education in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Ankara University, and in 1994, he went to the US to learn English. He took business courses at the State University of New York and stepped into the business world.

Born in 1972, Hamdi Ulukaya is 53 years old as of 2025. His family is of Elazığ origin and belongs to the Şavak Tribe.
