According to this regulation, it was stated that the founding dates of football teams can no longer be used as passwords. It was reported that these dates were included in the ban on the grounds that they could create a security vulnerability.

It was stated that measures have been taken by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) against setting football team founding dates as passwords in order to prevent fraudulent transactions made via credit and debit cards.
It was noted that while the use of birth dates as passwords had been prevented previously, the regulation has been expanded to also prevent the use of both team founding dates and repeated license plate numbers as passwords.
THESE DATES CANNOT BE USED AS PASSWORDS
It was reported that as a first measure, birth dates and dates such as 1453, 1881, and 1915 will not be used as passwords.
CARDS WILL BE BLOCKED IF PERSISTED
It has been announced that if a bank user insists on setting their ATM password to the founding date of the team they support, their cards will be blocked.
