Paid military service fee is increasing! How much will it be?
With the salary increase for civil servants in July, the fee for paid military service will also rise. Those who apply by June 30, 2025, will be able to benefit from the current amount.
The cost is increasing for those who want to complete their military service through the paid exemption program. Starting in July, there will be an increase in paid military service fees.
HOW MUCH IS THE PAID MILITARY SERVICE FEE?
Currently, the paid military service fee is applied as 243 thousand 13 Turkish Lira and 44 kuruş. For those who are draft evaders or have failed to report for duty, an additional payment of 3 thousand 543 Turkish Lira and 95 kuruş is required.
MUST BE PAID AFTER APPLICATION
Those who apply for paid military service must deposit the money into the relevant account within the two-month payment period starting from the date of application. Those who apply and deposit the money by June 30, 2025, will be eligible for paid military service at the current rate.
Those who deposit the money from July 1, 2025, onwards will make payments based on the new fee.
The most recently determined monthly civil servant salary coefficient was 1.012556. This figure, which is part of the calculation formula for paid military service, was multiplied by the figure of 240,000 to determine the new paid military service fee.
HOW MUCH WILL THE NEW PAID MILITARY SERVICE FEE BE?
If we calculate based on the 14 percent 5-month civil servant salary increase, the coefficient rises to 1.15431384. Thus, according to the new rates and based on the 5-month inflation data, the paid military service fee is expected to reach the level of 277 thousand 35 Turkish Lira.
