Pensioners are waiting with curiosity! The figures on the table for holiday bonuses and welfare shares

With the new year, the pension increase rates have been announced.

15.75 percent for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees,

11.54 percent for civil servants and civil servant retirees,

And the lowest pension has become 14,469 TL.

However, these rates were not found sufficient by retirees. Following the increases, retirees have turned their eyes to the bonuses to be paid during Ramadan Bayram.

WILL THE 2025 HOLIDAY BONUS BE INCREASED?

One of the issues pensioners are most curious about is whether there will be an increase in holiday bonuses. Speaking to Mynet, SGK expert Özgür Erdursun recalled that while the minimum wage was increased by 30 percent, pensions were increased by 15.75 percent, and made the following statement:

“We think the figure for holiday bonuses will increase. However, this depends on whether a welfare share is introduced.”

Stating that President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan could make a surprise announcement, Erdursun emphasized that there is still hope.

WELFARE SHARE WILL BE THE DETERMINING FACTOR

According to Erdursun, a welfare share increase could directly affect holiday bonuses.

“If the welfare share is not announced this week, a major increase in holiday bonuses should not be expected,” said Erdursun, noting that the welfare share regulation must be made by this week at the latest.

HOW MUCH COULD THE HOLIDAY BONUS BE?

Reminding that the regulation for the lowest pension is in Parliament, Erdursun made the following predictions regarding the bonuses:

He stated that the holiday bonus could be 3,500 TL,

And that it could even be rounded up to the 4,000 TL level.

ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT WILL MAKE THE FINAL DECISION

Although no official statement has been made by the economic management yet, it is stated that the decision to be made by President Erdoğan is awaited. In addition to salary increases, pensioners are expecting a satisfactory raise in holiday bonuses as well.
