Following the announcement of the June inflation data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the paid military service fee has increased alongside the raises for civil servants and retirees. The paid military service fee has risen from 243,013.44 TL to 281,895 TL.
HOW IS THE FEE CALCULATED?
The paid military service fee is calculated based on the civil servant salary coefficient, which is updated every year in January and July. The calculation is based on multiplying the 240,000 indicator figure by the current civil servant salary coefficient.
TÜİK announced the June inflation rate as 1.37 percent monthly and 35.05 percent annually. The raise rate to be applied to civil servants and civil servant retirees was determined as 15.57 percent, which is the sum of the inflation difference and the collective bargaining agreement raise.
APPLICATION AND PAYMENT PROCESS
Applications for paid military service can be made via e-Devlet or at military recruitment offices. After the application, the fee must be paid in full within two months from the date of application.
Payments can be made with a Turkish ID number at Ziraat Bank, Vakıflar Bank, Halk Bank, Ziraat Katılım Bank, Vakıf Katılım Bank, Emlak Katılım Bank, and at local tax offices and property directorates.
While there is no installment option, some banks offer paid military service loan opportunities.
