Ramadan Feast bonuses are in accounts! When will the 1,000 TL difference be paid to retirees?

The Social Security Institution (SGK) has begun making 3,000 TL payments to retirees as part of the Ramadan Feast bonus. The regulation regarding the raise for the bonuses has not yet been enacted. If the regulation, which is expected to pass through Parliament, is accepted, the 1,000 TL additional payment will be deposited into the accounts of the beneficiaries.

WHO WILL RECEIVE THE BONUS WHEN?

Payments are made on dates determined according to the retirees' salary payment days:

For SSK retirees:

Those with salary days of 17, 18, 19: Payment was made on March 24.

Those with 20, 21, 22: Payments are being deposited into accounts today.

Those with 23, 24, 25, 26: Bonuses will be paid on March 26.

Bağ-Kur Retirees:

Bonus payments for all Bağ-Kur retirees will be made on Wednesday, March 27.

Those under the Emekli Sandığı (Retirement Fund):

Bonuses will be deposited on Thursday, March 28, along with the April period salaries.

WHEN WILL THE 1,000 TL DIFFERENCE BE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS?

The proposal to increase the feast bonus from 3,000 TL to 4,000 TL is expected to be accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) by Thursday of this week. Once the regulation is published in the Official Gazette, the 1,000 TL difference payment will be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries shortly thereafter.

If the proposal is not enacted this week, the difference payment may be delayed until after the Ramadan Feast.

Bonuses for widows and orphans based on share

Those receiving widow and orphan pensions will receive feast bonuses at the rate of their share according to their retirement status:

For those receiving a pension from a spouse: 75 percent

For those receiving a pension from a spouse as a retiree or employee: 50 percent

For orphans: A payment of 25 percent will be made.

HOW MANY RETIREES WILL RECEIVE THE BONUS?

A total of 15.5 million retirees will receive the feast bonus. If the regulation in Parliament is accepted, the cost of this increase to the budget will be 28.4 billion TL.
