The new year will begin with a rain of price hikes: 2026 passport and driver's license fees have been finalized!

The tax and fee amounts to be applied for the year 2026 have been updated. The rate of increase was announced as 18.95 percent in line with the Revaluation Rate determined by the President.

Thus, the most anticipated international departure fees, passport, and driver's license costs have been clarified.

Those planning to travel abroad will pay 1,190 TL in 2026. The international departure fee, which is 1,000 TL under current practice, has been increased by 18.95 percent with the new hike.

The fee to be paid by those who want to obtain a Class B driver's license has become 6,754 TL as of the new year. The Class B driver's license fee, which is currently 5,678 TL, has increased within the determined rate of hike.

The Class A driver's license fee has risen from 1,883 TL to 2,240 TL.

New figures will also be valid for passport fees for all durations. As of 2026, the fees have been updated according to duration as follows:

The six-month passport fee has become 2,806 TL, the one-year passport fee 4,101 TL, the two-year passport fee 6,698 TL, and the three-year passport fee 9,516 TL. The highest fee amount for passports with a duration longer than three years was announced as 13,410 TL, while this amount was 11,274 TL last year.

The new fees will be valid starting from January 1, 2026. Citizens are advised to plan their transactions by taking these fee changes into account.
