Gasoline price hike: How much will be reflected at the pump?

The rise in global oil prices, fluctuations in the exchange rate, and increases in tax items continue to put pressure on the fuel market. Following the climb of Brent crude oil to 103.82 dollars, an increase of 2 lira and 17 kuruş was calculated for the liter price of gasoline.

MOST OF THE INCREASE WAS NOT REFLECTED AT THE PUMP

According to information reported by Dünya Gazetesi, the Sliding Scale System (Eşel Mobil) was activated, limiting a significant portion of the price hike burden. Accordingly, while the majority of the increase was balanced through the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV), only 54 kuruş of the price increase was directly reflected in pump prices.
