General cooperation established with China Eximbank
Türk Eximbank has signed a memorandum of understanding for general cooperation with China Eximbank.
The memorandum of understanding regarding general cooperation between Türk Eximbank and China Eximbank, for which negotiations had been ongoing for some time, was signed during the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Asian Exim Banks Forum, of which both institutions are members, held in Sydney, Australia.
With the Memorandum of Understanding, which entered into force with the signing ceremony held on November 21, it is aimed to provide support through parallel/joint financing and guarantees for projects and transactions to be undertaken jointly by Turkish and Chinese firms in third countries, in addition to technical cooperation, thereby ensuring that Turkish exporters have access to new financing sources and maintain their competitiveness.
The agreement is significant in terms of establishing the infrastructure for concrete collaborations that will come to the agenda between the two institutions in the coming period.
