General Health Insurance warning to citizens from the SSI
The Social Security Institution (SSI) has issued a statement regarding General Health Insurance. The statement, which notes that citizens should undergo an income test, said, "Individuals without any income or social security coverage must apply for an income test at the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation."
The Social Security Institution (SSI) has announced that citizens can benefit from health services free of charge under the General Health Insurance (GSS) scheme by applying for an income test.
In a post shared on the institution's social media account, it was stated that individuals without any income or social security coverage must apply for an income test at the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, and the following information was provided:
"If the per capita income within the household is below one-third of the gross minimum wage, you can receive free health services. If the per capita income within the household is one-third of the gross minimum wage or higher, you can receive health services by paying a monthly GSS premium of 600 Turkish Lira and 8 kuruş.
You can benefit from health services until the age of 20, provided that no more than 2 years have passed since your secondary education (high school) graduation date, and until the age of 25, provided that no more than 2 years have passed since your higher education (university) graduation date."
