Getir founder Nazım Salur rebels: They are trying to seize our assets
Nazım Salur, one of the founders of the delivery app Getir, stated that the UAE-based Mubadala, which manages the company's food and delivery division, is unlawfully disregarding the agreement made to split Getir in two, adding, "They want to seize our rights."
Some founding partners of the rapid delivery company Getir have announced that they will initiate legal proceedings, stating that the company's largest investor, the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala, has not adhered to the agreement and is attempting to seize their rights.
Getir founder Nazım Salur and other partners had reached an agreement with Mubadala in June of last year to split the company in two in exchange for 250 million dollars in financing. However, this process has not been completed to date.
'AGREEMENT IS BEING VIOLATED'
In a statement on the social media platform X, Nazım Salur announced that a legal battle has been initiated, stating that Mubadala has violated the agreement and is attempting to usurp the rights of the founding partners.
Salur included the following statements in his announcement:
"The United Arab Emirates sovereign wealth fund Mubadala is unlawfully disregarding the agreement we made to split Getir in two and is trying to seize our rights. Companies that were supposed to remain under our management have suddenly become valuable. Legal processes have been initiated, and more comprehensive statements will be made in the coming period."
