Gold and silver prices recorded sharp declines due to increasing risk appetite in global markets and the strengthening of the dollar. Precious metals experienced record losses following accelerated selling after reaching their recent peak levels.

Gold lost 12 percent of its value per ounce in a single day, falling to 4,730 dollars and testing its lowest level seen since January 20, 2026.

Silver, on the other hand, experienced a record daily decline of 33 percent, falling to as low as 75 dollars. The price of silver dropped to its lowest level since January 9, 2026.
