Graduated billing for natural gas follows electricity
Following the graduated tariff system implemented for electricity bills, a similar regulation is being introduced for natural gas bills.
The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources is preparing to apply the 'cost-based graduated tariff' system, which it launched for electricity bills at the beginning of this year, to natural gas bills for the upcoming winter months. With this new regulation, significant differences in natural gas costs will emerge between cities. The Ministry will examine energy usage costs in all 81 provinces and create a separate pricing table for each province.
This situation could mean that one of two neighboring provinces consuming the same amount of natural gas may pay a higher or lower bill compared to the other.
On the other hand, the subsidy support provided by the state for electricity and natural gas bills is also being gradually withdrawn. These changes will require consumers to manage their energy costs more carefully.
