Harvest has begun, producer calls out to citizens: 'Instead of buying for 25 liras outside, buy it from the field for 8'
In the tomato harvest, which is continuing with 600 workers on a 2,000-decare plot of land in Elazığ, the producer called out to citizens, saying, "Instead of buying for 25 liras outside, buy it from the field for 8."
The harvest of tomatoes grown on a 2,000-decare area in the village of Alatarla, 15 kilometers from Elazığ, is underway.

While a portion of the tomatoes is being sent for export, the produce in the field is also being offered to the citizens of Elazığ. Stating that tomato prices are 25 liras outside, producer Murat Alınmış called out to citizens, saying, "Come and buy the tomatoes you pick in the field for 8 liras."

Murat Alınmış explained his work and production processes as follows:
"We planted tomatoes here and are offering them to our public. We also send them to the wholesale market as tomatoes for tomato paste and drying. We are selling tomatoes in the field for 8 liras; citizens can come and pick them themselves. It is 25 liras at the greengrocer, but 8 liras here. We start work at 07:00 in the morning and work until 17:00–18:00 in the evening. Currently, 11 people are working in the field. The harvest, which covers an area of 2,000 decares, will last approximately 1.5 months. We harvest an average of 20 tons of tomatoes daily; this amount can vary depending on the destination."
