WHAT IS THE MARCH INFLATION RATE?

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced the March inflation data as 2.46 percent.

These data, which are announced regularly on a monthly basis, serve as an important reference source for many economic indicators such as the minimum wage, civil servant and retiree salaries, and rent increase rates.

WHAT WERE THE ECONOMISTS' INFLATION EXPECTATIONS?

19 economists participated in the expectation survey conducted by AA Finance regarding the March inflation data to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) on Thursday, April 3.

The average of the economists' inflation expectations for March was determined to be 2.87 percent. The participants' estimates ranged between 2.15 percent and 3.20 percent. According to this expectation, annual inflation, which was 39.05 percent the previous month, is expected to fall to 38.66 percent in March.

FEBRUARY 2025 INFLATION FIGURE

In February, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 39.05 percent on an annual basis and 2.27 percent on a monthly basis. Thus, the total two-month inflation difference was calculated as 7.3 percent.
