A striking figure has come to the agenda for the minimum wage to be applied in 2027, even before official negotiations have begun. Social Security Expert Özgür Erdursun predicted that the net minimum wage could rise to the 35 thousand lira level in the new period.
Erdursun based his expectation on an assessment of the current net minimum wage. Accordingly, if the current wage of 28 thousand 75 lira is increased by approximately 25 percent, the new figure is expected to be around 35 thousand lira.

Sharing his forecast for 2027, Erdursun announced his minimum wage increase expectation as 25 percent.
Social Security Expert Özgür Erdursun's assessment is as follows:
"My 2027 minimum wage forecast: I expect an increase of approximately 25% in the minimum wage. I foresee the net minimum wage, which is 28,075 TL today, rising to around 35,000 TL. My forecast: 35,000 TL."

Özgür Erdursun's new forecast also drew attention due to his previous prediction regarding the 2026 minimum wage. The figure Erdursun shared last year largely coincided with the 28 thousand 75 lira net wage announced by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission in December.
OFFICIAL PROCESS WILL BEGIN IN DECEMBER
Official negotiations to determine the 2027 minimum wage are expected to begin in December. The final wage will be determined following the meetings of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which will be held with the participation of worker, employer, and government representatives.
