Responding to questions from Bilge Yurtdagülen on the 'Real Economy' program on Tele 1, 12punto columnist and economist Prof. Dr. Duran Bülbül made evaluations regarding TURKSTAT's inflation calculations.

Stating that the inflation adjustments provided to civil servants and employees are not accurately reflected, Prof. Bülbül said, "State statistics administrators have committed a crime at the hands of those who give them instructions through politics. For this reason, they are obligated to be accountable to the public as a requirement of the right to the budget. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) should convene in an extraordinary session regarding this issue because this is a national matter."

'THEY WON'T EVEN BE ABLE TO PAY A MONTH'S SALARY'

Pointing out that the government wing wants to put 'trench municipalism' scenarios into effect, Bülbül said, "The political power no longer wants to have services provided by CHP municipalities. It has now also blocked the path to employment. No one will be able to get a job. When they restrict this under austerity measures, municipalities will no longer be able to pay even a month's salary and will not be able to provide public services. The opposition needs to prepare for this process and bring it to the public agenda."
