As the repercussions of the fund investigation conducted in the capital markets continue, it has emerged that AKP Deputy Chairman and Head of Economic Affairs Nihat Zeybekci also invested in Tera, which is mentioned in the investigation.
Zeybekci stated that 4 companies in which he is a partner invested money in Tera's TP2 fund and said that their money is trapped. Speaking to Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz, Zeybekci said, "I am one of the 455 thousand victims."

ZEYBEKCİ'S CRITICISM OF THE SPK: UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS STATE NEGLIGENCE
Zeybekci stated that the fund in question was not among those alleged to have engaged in manipulative transactions, that it was seen as safe, and that it provided a monthly return in the range of 3.5-4.5 percent. Stating that the money was directed to this fund by "friends" without his knowledge, Zeybekci said that if he had been aware of the warnings, he would not have allowed it.
Zeybekci also criticized the Capital Markets Board (SPK), stating, "Unfortunately, there is state negligence. Citizens put their money into the fund with the assurance that 'If something were wrong, the state would intervene'." Arguing that the SPK can monitor transactions in real-time, Zeybekci stated that the audit and intervention processes should be questioned.
131 FUNDS WERE UNDER INVESTIGATION
Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 131 funds, including Pusula and Tera, were taken under investigation. While detention and arrest procedures continue in the process, it is stated that the money of approximately 500 thousand investors is trapped.
FUND MEETING AT THE PALACE
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ordered a meeting at the Palace, which was attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, and the heads of the SPK, BDDK, and Borsa İstanbul. During the meeting, which lasted approximately 3 hours, steps that could be taken to make the functioning of the capital markets healthy were evaluated.
It had previously come to the agenda that the freezing of assets was requested for former Minister of Family and Social Policies Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, along with her husband İlyas Kaya, in the investigation. While Zeybekci gave the message that the allegations regarding Kaya "should be pursued to the end," he said that those who profited from manipulative transactions and victimized investors should not be put in the same category.
