Historic price hike for LPG following diesel
The wave of fuel price hikes continues. While LPG saw a record increase of 4.50 TL, diesel prices in some provinces have exceeded the 80 TL threshold.
Volatility in exchange rates and the rise in global oil prices continue to exert upward pressure on fuel prices.
Following the recent hike in diesel, LPG prices have now seen a sharp increase. Effective from midnight, the price per liter of autogas was raised by 4.50 TL. This increase has been recorded as the highest single-time price hike for LPG.
Following the hike, the price per liter of LPG rose to 34.99 TL on the European side of Istanbul and 34.39 TL on the Anatolian side. In Ankara, the price per liter reached 34.87 TL, while it climbed to 34.79 TL in Izmir.
DIESEL EXCEEDS 80 TL THRESHOLD
The price increase in diesel also drew attention. Following a hike of 2.52 TL per liter, the price of diesel reached 77.43 TL. In some cities, the price of diesel has risen above the 80 TL level.
The fact that Brent crude oil prices are hovering around the 105 dollar band and uncertainties in global markets are cited as the primary reasons for the rise in fuel prices.
