How did European stock markets close the day?

European stock markets experienced declines at the beginning of the week, with the exception of the UK. At the close, the benchmark index Stoxx Europe 600 fell by 0.35 percent to 501.49 points.

In Italy, the FTSE MIB 30 index decreased by 0.27 percent to 33,315.07 points, the DAX 30 index in Germany fell by 0.38 percent to 17,746.27 points, and the CAC 40 index in France declined by 0.1 percent to 8,019.73 points.

In the UK, the FTSE 100 index rose by 0.12 percent to 7,669.23 points.

The euro/dollar parity was trading at the 1.093 level as of 20:24 TSI.

While global markets are focused on the inflation data to be announced in the US tomorrow, this data is of importance regarding the steps the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will take in its monetary policy.

In addition to the US inflation data, labor market statistics to be announced in the UK tomorrow are also being monitored.
