The April-term index contract traded at 10,568.50 in the opening session, 0.5 percent above the previous normal session close.

On Monday, the index contract followed a selling trend and completed the normal session at 10,512.00 points, 1 percent below its previous close. The index contract was at 10,522.50 points in the evening session.

Analysts stated that global equity markets are following a positive trend led by technology stocks, despite ongoing uncertainty regarding the timing of interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve (Fed), and noted that eyes are turned today to the balance sheets expected to be announced by major companies, primarily IBM, Boeing, and Meta.

MINISTER ŞİMŞEK HAD TRAVELED TO THE US

On the other hand, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek made statements yesterday regarding his contacts during his visit to the US to attend the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Spring Meetings and various events.

Pointing out that there is great interest from investors in the US toward Turkey, Şimşek said, "We are strengthening macroeconomic foundations with disinflation, structural reforms, and fiscal discipline, and this is attracting a lot of interest. That is why investor interest was, in a word, excellent."

Analysts stated that today, the capacity utilization rate, real sector confidence index, short-term external debt statistics, and housing price index will be monitored domestically, while the Ifo business climate index in Germany and durable goods orders in the US will be followed abroad, noting that technically, 10,600 and 10,700 points are resistance levels for the index contract, while 10,500 and 10,400 levels are in the support position.
